Felix Duarte of Ticor Title Company demonstrates his dedication to his profession by attending the 2013 Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference (NAHREP). This three day conference is a gathering of Real Estate Professionals from across the United States coming together to discuss topics such as: Mortgage Liquidity in the Marketplace, Demographic Trends, Lending, Regulation, and Policy Recommendations.
NAHREP is an opportunity for professionals, like Felix, to become better educated in all fields related to real estate, lending and of course Title Insurance. While this is not a mandatory event, Mr. Duarte chooses to attend events like these to help further his education and career all the while better serving his clients through a stronger knowledge base.
Mr. Duarte states that he is ‘pleased’ to be apart of organizations like NAHREP–ones that take an active role in promoting appropriate legislative policies that benefit both the title and real estate industries and consumers a like.
Following is a picture of Felix in Congressman Gary Miller’s (CA) office about to discuss various housing policies, including appropriate disposition strategies of foreclosed properties; a balanced approach to mortgage credit rules with regards to QRM and QM; FHA solvency and reasonable underwriting changes to ensure solvency of the FHA fund, and finally, a sensible approach to immigration reform.
